BATTLE AT BONHAM RESULTS

Battle At Bonham Tractor Pull Results
by LSGTPA

Lone Star Garden Tractor Pulling Association teams rolled into Bonham, Texas for the second time in 2016, for an encore performance at the Powder Creek Park Pulling Track.  Located on the hillside overlooking the scenic park, and just a few steps from the Fannin County Museum of History at the Texas & Pacific Bonham Depot, the 200 foot track proved to challenge the teams in two rounds of tractor pulling action.  Lonny Parson of the Honey Grove Cowboy Church delivered the invocation during opening ceremonies, and performing artist Bailey Melvin presented our National Anthem to start the show.

The Youth Class competitors took to the track first, with Jared Stephan scoring the win aboard his 'Iron Head' tractor.  Lane Duncan piloted his 'Texas T-Rex' tractor to the runnerup position, with Jacob Hovind placing third aboard his 'Yes Deere' machine.  Lane Duncan would steer his 'Twisted Kitty' tractor to a fourth place finish on the day, with Tatom Robinson pulling to a fifth place finish in the field.  Ren Mayberry scored a sixth place finish to round out the tough field of Youth Class pullers.

Stock Class saw Jimmy Helferich use a Full Pull to take the lead, and the top spot on the day.  Steve McCarley scored a second place finish, with James Helferich placing third.  Claude Lewis posted a fourth place finish in the class.  In Hot Stock,  Kody Langham took the top honors for the Longhorn Express Pulling Team.  John Aufdenkamp posted a close second place finish, just inches behind the leader, aboard his 'Rusteze' tractor.  Kolby Langham used a Full Pull in the opening round, and held onto the third place position.  Jimmy Helferich pulled to a fourth place finish, with Mason Hovind piloting his 'Yes Deere' machine to a top five finish.

In Stock Diesel Class, Patrick Bramlett scored the win aboard his 'Warthog' tractor.  Ken Langham finished in second place for the Longhorn Express Pulling Team camp.  Aidan Hovind pulled to a top three scoring, for the Mean Green Pulling Team.  James Helferich finished in the fourth place position on the day.  The action heated up in Big Stock Class competition, with Jerry Toland topping the field aboard his 'Triple Deuce' tractor.  John Aufdenkamp pulled to a runnerup finish for the Outlaw Pulling Team.  Kolby Langham rode his 'Texas Thunder' tractor to a top three finish.  Jimmy Helferich placed fourth in the class, with Patrick Bramlett pulling to a top five finish aboard his 'A Muck' machine.

The high winding Stock Altered Class tractors saw John Aufdenkamp taking the win, aboard his 'Under The Influence' tractor, with Michael Mayberry scoring the runnerup finish aboard his 'Pulling For Peanuts' machine.  The Mini Rod Class tractors put on a great show, with Colby Crowe scoring the win aboard his 'Weekend Warrior' tractor.  Jerry Toland piloted his 'Shinin Time' machine, to the runnerup position.  David Houchen rode his 'Back In The Day' tractor to a third place finish, with Sarah Crowe placing fourth aboard her '99% Moody' machine.  Paul Smith and his wild 'Texan' tractor would place fifth in the Mini Rod Class, and would return to take the win in the Outlaw Class competition.

The Super Rod Class tractors closed the show, with Thomas Kimmons wheeling his 'Fired Up' tractor to the top spot.  Ken Langham would steer his 'Psycho'  machine to the runnerup spot, with John Kiemele taking third aboard his 'Dodge This' entry.  Randell Moody would work his 'Ridge Runner' tractor into the fourth place position, with Steve McCarley posting a fifth place scoring on the day.
