Bonaham Heritage Day LSGTPA Pulling Results

Bonham Heritage Days LSGTPA Tractor Pull Results

Beautiful weather greeted the LSGTPA pulling teams, as they rolled into Bonham, Texas for the Bonham Heritage Days Festival Tractor Pull.  The event was held at the Powder Creek Park pulling track, located between the historic Bonham Texas & Pacific Depot and the site of the 1880's era, Texas & Pacific Railroad Roundhouse.  The scenic venue featured a hard packed track, providing for a great surface for an exciting afternoon of tractor pulling action.  Arlen Foulks of Racers For Christ delivered the invocation, with Grace Johnson performing the National Anthem during opening ceremonies. 

The Youth Class competitors took to the track first, to open the show in front of a great crowd.  Jared Stephan wheeled the 'Yes Deere' tractor to the first place position, with Kody Langham taking second.  Lane Duncan piloted his 'Texas T-Rex' tractor to a podium finish at third, with Jared Stephan returning aboard the 'Iron Head' machine to place fourth.   In Stock Class, Claude Lewis took the win, with Jimmy and James Helfferich taking second and third.    The Hot Stock Class was paced by Aidan Hovind aboard 'Yes Deere', followed by John Aufdenkamp on the 'Rusteze' tractor.  Steve McCarley pulled to a third place finish, with Kolby Langham taking fourth to round out the field. 

Stock Diesel was won by local favorite, Ken Langham, Jr., aboard the Bonham Service Center tractor.  In Big Stock, John Aufdenkamp took the class title.  Jerry Toland finshed second aboard 'Triple Deuce', while Kolby Langham placed the 'Texas Thunder' tractor in third.  John Aufdenkamp placed the Outlaw Pulling Team tractor atop the Stock Altered Class with the win, recording two Full Pulls on the 200 foot track.  In the Motorcycle Class, Paul Smith wheeled his 'Texan' machine to the victory.  Smith would return to enter and win the Outlaw Class, scoring a Full Pull in each class to double up on the day. 

The Mini Rod Class tractors put on a great show, with Jerry Toland taking the win aboard 'Shinin Time'.  Sarah Crowe used a Full Pull aboard her turbocharged diesel entry, to secure the runnerup spot.  Colby Crowe placed the 'Weekend Warrior' tractor in the third place position, with Howard Houchen recording a fourth place finish aboard 'Back In The Day'.    The Super Rod Class tractors closed the show, with Ken Langham taking the title aboard the Bonham Service Center tractor.  Randell Moody pulled the 'Ridge Runner' to the runnerup spot, with John Kiemele taking the third place podium finish aboard 'Dodge This'.

LSGTPA Hunt County Fair Results

HUNT COUNTY FAIR LSGTPA TRACTOR PULL RESULTS

Rain showers seem synonymus with the Hunt County Fair in Greenville, and the 2015 shows and showers were no exception.  The area needed the rain, so the LSGTPA pulling teams were happy to accommodate mother nature with the opening weekend postponement.  The pulling event was moved to the closing weekend of the fair, and the pullers were awarded an awesome evening for pulling, and a great pulling surface upon which to compete.

Arlen Foulks of Racers For Christ was on hand to deliver the invocation, and following the National Anthem, the Youth Class competitors took to the track.  Kody Langham pulled out the victory for the Bonham Service Center team, with Jared Stephan pulling double duty to score the runner up and third place finishes.  Stephan placed the 'Yes Deere' tractor in second, and piloted his 'Iron Head' entry to third.     In Stock, Claude Lewis topped the field, with Jimmy and James Helfferich placing second and third.

In the new Hot Stock Class, Aidan Hovind scored the victory aboard 'Yes Deere' for the Mean Green Pulling Team.  Kolby Langham used a Full Pull, to place his Bonham Service Center machine in the runnerup position.  John Aufdenkamp place third, abord his Outlaw Pulling Team tractor.  Stock Diesel saw Ken Langham, Jr. taking the win, using two Full Pulls to take the title.

In Big Stock, Shawn Aufdenkamp scored the victory for the Outlaw Pulling Team, with Jerry Toland placing his 'Triple Deuce' entry in the runnerup spot.  Kolby Langham placed third, aboard his 'Texas Thunder' tractor.  Stock Altered was taken by John Aufdenkamp, using two nice pulls to secure the top spot.  Paul Smith aboard his 'Texan' tractor, scored the victory in the Motorcycle Class.  Smith returned to double up with the 'Texan', taking the top spot in the Outlaw Class. 

The Mini Rod Class provided fans with a great show, with Jerry Toland emerging the victor aboard his 'Shinin Time' tractor.  Howard Houchen finished second, aboard the 'Back In The Day' machine.  Colby Crowe placed the 'Weekend Warrior' tractor on the podium in third, with Sarah Crowe placing her turbocharged diesel entry in fourth on the night.    The Super Rod Class tractors closed the show, with Ken Langham taking the win for the Longhorn Pulling Team.  John Kiemele scored the runnerup aboard his 'Dodge This' tractor, with Randell Moody securing a podium finish in third aboard his 'Ridge Runner' machine.

LSGTPA Tractor Pulling Teams Prepare for Back To Back

The LSGTPA tractor pulling teams will be in action both Friday and Saturday, May 1st and 2nd.  The group will roll into the Hunt County Fair on Friday night, in Greenville Texas, with a 6pm start time.

On Saturday, the teams will compete in Bonham, Texas, during the Bonham Heritage Days festivities.  This event is slated for a 3pm start, and will commence with our National Anthem presentation by Grace Johnson.

Kody Langham will compete in the Bonham Heritage Days LSGTPA tractor pull on Saturday.

LSGTPA Teams Prepare for Hunt County Fair Double Header

THE HUNT COUNTY FAIR LSGTPA TRACTOR PULL IS RESCHEDULED !

Due to the rainouts, on April 24 and 25, the LSGTPA teams will compete at the Hunt County Fair on FRIDAY NIGHT, MAY 1st.   The start time remains as 6pm.

The LSGTPA will be preparing for the annual Hunt County Fair Double Header, on Friday and Saturday nights of April 24 and 25.  The pulling event is held in conjunction with the Hunt County Fair opening weekend, in Greenville, Texas.  Opening ceremonies are scheduled for 6pm on both nights, and will feature our National Anthem presentation by Bailey Melvin.

Delta County Fair LSGTPA Tractor Pull Results

The Lone Star Garden Tractor Pullers Association teams rolled into Cooper, Texas, to open the 2015 LSGTPA Championship Points Series at the Delta County Fair and Livestock Show.  The second annual event was held at the Harmon Park facility, on a track prepared by Rocky Young, of RY Construction.  Kaleb Wright of Three Rusty Nails Church presented the Invocation, followed by Lauren Taylor with an outstanding performance of the National Anthem.

The Youth Class competitors took to the track first, to open the 2015 pulling season, with Kody Langham turning in a strong performance to score the win aboard the 'Yes Deere' tractor.   Jared Stephan placed the 'Iron Head' tractor in the runner up spot, followed by Kody Langham aboard the Bonham Service Center entry.  Lane Duncan placed his 'Texas T-Rex' in the fourth place position, rebounding from clutch issues in the first round.    Claude Lewis pulled double duty, piloting two tractors in the OEM Stock Class to a first and second finish.

In Stock Class, Aidan Hovind piloted the 'Yes Deere' machine to victory, with Kolby Langham scoring a solid runnerup finish.  The Stock Diesel title was taken by Ken Langham, Jr., aboard the Longhorn Pulling Team tractor.   In Big Stock,  Jerry Toland piloted his 'Triple Deuce' entry to the top spot.  Kolby Langham held onto the second spot, while holding onto the 'Texas Thunder' tractor, after a wild first round pass that ended out-of-bounds for a disqualification.  The Motorcycle Class provided the Cooper crowd with some excitement, with Todd Hickerson using a Full Pull to score the victory.  Paul Smith piloted his 'Texan' tractor on wild ride, taking the machine out-of-bounds for a disqualification, and a runner-up finish.

Todd Hickerson scored a victory in the Outlaw Class, to double up on the day with two wins in two classes.  Paul Smith returned with the 'Texan', to score a Full Pull and the runnerup finish.  The Mini Rod Class tractors were paced by Colby Crowe, using a strong opening round Full Pull, to take the class crown.  Jerry Toland drove his 'Shinin Time' tractor, to the runnerup spot.   Sarah Crowe piloted her turbocharged diesel entry to the third place position, with David Houchen taking his 'Back In The Day' tractor to the fourth place spot.

The Super Rod Class tractors closed the show, with John Kiemele taking the win aboard his 'Dodge This' machine.  Thomas Kimmons drove his 'Fired Up' tractor into the runnerup spot, with Randell Moody taking his 'Ridge Runner' to a third place podium finish.  Ken Langham, Sr. placed his Bonham Service Center machine in fourth place, to round out the field.

Enloe Museum staff provided trophies for the Youth Class, commemorating the history of cotton production in Delta County.

Delta County Fair to Host LSGTPA 2015 Season Opener

Music lined up and ready for Fair and Livestock Show

It is almost that time again as the annual Delta County Fair and Livestock Show is planned for Saturday, April 11, 2015.
The music is lined up and ready to commence the day long events. According to Chamber office manager Gracie Young, opening ceremonies have been coordinated by B.K. Moody.

The Delta County Chamber of Commerce will be presenting the Maroon & Gray Foundation with a $1,000 check to kick off the County Fair happenings. During the Livestock Show the Lions Club of Cooper, Texas will be fundraising for their scholarship award by selling sausage biscuits for $2 each and juice for $1. The Club will also be hosting Cow Pattie Bingo with tickets selling for $10 each for a chance to win $250 or 25 percent of the gross raised.
The day will continue with vendors throughout the City Park and a fun kids’ zone. Nan Beeler Pet Clinic with be available with needed shots for your pets.
Highlighting the morning will be the annual Firefighters Challenge hosted by the Cooper Volunteer Fire Department and organized by fire fighter Tanner Crutcher. Local County departments and neighboring fire fighters will compete for bragging rights in the tug-o-war with fire hoses, extinguishing an outhouse fire, barrel filling and many other fun contests. If you stand close enough you might just get a chance to cool off under the East Texas sun. He is currently taking any donation for prizes.
The Chamber will be hosting a Pastry contest this year for delicious entries of pies, cakes and cookies. Entry fee is just $10 and there will be first, second and third place winners. This will be followed by a Hamburger lunch fundraiser also hosted by the Chamber. Look for their food trailer near the music.
The afternoon will begin with the vocal stylings of local Lauren Taylor Bettes singing the National Anthem to open the Lone Star Garden Tractor Pullers Association competition. Rocky Young with RY Construction has already prepared the track in City Park. Bring your lawn chairs for a great free event.

LSGTPA Season Opener Announced for Cooper Texas

The LSGTPA 2015 season opening event has been scheduled for a return to Cooper, Texas.  The feature event will be held in conjunction with the Delta County Fair & Junior Livestock Show, on April 11.  LSGTPA teams from across the state will converge on Harmon Park, to compete on the Rocky Young Construction prepared, Delta County  pulling track.  Opening ceremonies are scheduled for a 2pm start, and will feature our National Anthem presentation by performing artist Lauren Taylor.

Tractor Pull returns to the County Fair

Warmer temperatures have found Delta County and thoughts turn to spring events. On Saturday, April 11, 2015 the Delta County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the Delta County Fair and Livestock Show. Returning to the event will be the Lone Star Garden Tractor Pullers Association competitors.
Last year the event drew a record crowd with many featured pulling teams – some local youth. The free event kicked off the pulling season for the LSGTP. Rocky Young of RY Construction provided the pulling track, and according to the LSGTP site Aidan Hovind used the event to start a five-in-a-row winning streak to take the early lead in his run for the Stock Class Championship title. The event will begin at 2 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and sunscreen.

A new addition for 2015 will be the Pastry Cook-off.  Participants are urged to bake up their favorite desserts (cakes, pies and cookies). Awards will be presented and the top three in each category will be auctioned in a raffle. Cookie entries need to be at least three dozen and the entry fee for the contest is $10. The dessert will accompany this year’s hamburger meals being served by the Chamber of Commerce. Meals will be a burger, chips and dessert for $5, sodas will be $1 and dessert will be $2 a slice. Proceeds go to fund the various Chamber functions.
Vendor forms are available at the Chamber office or by call office manager Gracie Young at 903-395-4314. Vendor fees are $25 per booth, $5 extra for electricity and/or water and $45 for food vendors.
“We are trying to establish a more County Fair-like atmosphere,” said Chamber Board Director Ken Cottongame, on the contest and meal changes.
There will be the kids’ zone with bounce houses and inflatable slides, vendors from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., live music, Nan Beeler’s Pet Clinic from 9 a.m. until noon, and the Livestock Show will begin the fun-filled day at 9 a.m. at Cooper City Park.
